Supported by Gabriel Ash

Sam Bristow
11 years old from Wells Park Primary, Chigwell
KS2/P3-6 Finalist

About Sam

Sam has been pivotal in reinvigorating an abandoned garden that had not been tended to for five years, single-handedly cutting back the overgrowth, digging over the soil and planning what crops he would grow in his notebook. The garden has become a place for Sam to focus his energy positively and he is always keen to keep it looking its best for visitors and other pupils to enjoy.

Judges' comments

"Sam has made such a positive impact on his school through gardening and in turn, it has had a positive impact on him."
