Luke Robertson

KS3/P7-S2 Finalist

About Luke

Having helped his family with gardening activities in the past, Luke was quick to join the gardening project when he started at The Academy Selsey last year. He is intensely curious about growing and regularly takes seeds and plants home to grow on, often with mixed success. He is eager to learn and has a keen interest in growing crops and cooking with them.

Judges' comments

“Luke comes across as a genuinely enthusiastic and keen gardener, so it is great to see that his school have given him this opportunity.”

"Luke's a very dedicated school gardener, urning up every Friday and even going in during school holidays! He's got a lot of gardening skill and has a great sense of the wonder of growing plants."
