Accessibility statement for RHS Campaign for School Gardening
We want everyone who visits the RHS Campaign for School Gardening website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help us make the RHS Campaign for School Gardening website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the RHS Campaign for School Gardening website.
How are we doing?
We're working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realise there are some areas that still need improving. The following information explains what we're doing to make that happen.
Success criteria 3.3.3:
We are now working to improve both the language of error messages and adding a few instances that are not yet in place.
Success criteria 2.4.7:
Although focus is made clear by the browser there are a few instances where this is not adequate and we are in the process of improving these.
Success criteria 1.4.3:
We have discovered a few instances in our designs that fall below the accepted standard and are working to improve these.
Success criteria 4.1.1:
There are few issues that are causing validation to fail. We are working to remedy all of these that we possibly can.
Success criteria 2.4.4:
We are currently training sub-editors of the site to write & apply clear links. There are only a few instances where this needs addressing at present.
Success criteria 2.4.1:
This will be provided in the next phase of development (within 2 weeks of launch 28/04/2015)
