The Big Soup Share is back, but this year things will be a little different. Following the UK Government's most recent guidelines, we have updated all of our guidance to ensure the Big Soup Share can go ahead safely.
We will have a heap of resources to help you use the Big Soup Share to support your community. We'll provide guidance on how to do this in a safe way, as well as brand new resources to help you hold a digital Soup Share!
There will also be a fun filled line-up of videos and online content for you to enjoy throughout the week from the comfort of your own home!

Back in 2017, to celebrate 10 years of the Campaign for School Gardening, we asked schools to team up with their neighbours to share soup and make new connections. Since then, the Soup Share has grown and now we welcome community gardening groups, businesses/offices, charities, individuals, you name it!
But why should you take part? The Big Soup Share is a chance to support others in you community. All you need to do is harvest your crops or ask for veggie donations, whizz them up into a delicious soup and share it with others. We will be releasing a guide soon on how you can do this safely.
Growing and sharing food has become more important than ever this year, as has community spirit, and while some things are still uncertain, we're here to help you celebrate the good stuff.
This year you may want to host a Big Soup Share within your community, following government guidelines, or you might want to extend a digital invitation and share your soup over Skype or Zoom.
We would love you to share your pictures and stories with us so we can see what you got up to, so please tag us on social media.
On this page you’ll find lots of resources and activities to help you make your Big Soup Share extra special. We're still working on them at the moment but if you sign up above, you'll be the first to know when they're available.
Who can take part?
Anyone! Whether you're a community group, school, youth group, charity, business or individual, we would like invite everyone to take part. You could grow your own veg or set up a safe community donation station. Or you could just share within your bubble.
Please always take care and observe the UK Government’s guidelines, in particular regarding how many people can meet at one time and any local lockdown restrictions. Remember, these rules are different depending on whether you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales or England. Think Hands, Space, Face!
When is the Big Soup Share?
This year, the Big Soup Share will take place between Monday 5 October and Sunday 11 October 2020.
