KS4/S-4 Finalist

About Liam

The Endeavour School, a Special Needs School, introduced gardening into the curriculum last year. With years of experience of working in the family allotment, Liam has first rate knowledge, ability and enthusiasm which he passes onto other pupils. He works well independently and as part of a team, excelling at digging up weeds and trimming back overgrown trees. He regularly brings his home-grown produce into school to share with others and present in assemblies.

Judges' comments

“It is clear to see how good it is for Liam to get involved with the plants and the earth, and he obviously loves to share his knowledge with others.”

"It's amazing that he has responsibility for an allotment at a young age - no mean feat! Liam clearly loves gardening and has a desire to share it with whoever he can."
