About Eòghainn

Eòghainn has a natural aptitude for gardening and has influenced his peer groups to become more involved in establishing borders around the school. He is pleasant, kind and patient with pupils and staff alike, and is especially gifted in working with those with additional support needs.

Judges' comments

“Eòghainn is Whinhill’s very own Monty Don! He clearly has excellent knowledge and some wonderful gardening skills which will only get stronger.”

“I really liked Eòghainn’s attitude and he comes across as a very considerate and polite young man. It was wonderful to see him passing on his knowledge to the younger children and he clearly has a wide range of skills.”

“Eòghainn is only 11, so the youngest in his age category, but he already knows a lot and is very gifted. I would be interested to see how he grows in future and would love to see him back in the competition in a few years.”
