About Kenzo
Passionate about all aspects of gardening, Kenzo gives his own time freely during holidays and at weekends to look after both the school garden and flower beds in the village. He has even taken it upon himself to cultivate an overgrown verge by the school. His horticultural knowledge is amazing and has even helped staff to choose plants based on their preferred growing conditions.
Judges' comments
“Kenzo is a very natural gardener with great plant knowledge and he showed us some fantastic demonstrations of his skills. He showed great commitment to the school garden and patience when teaching other pupils how to carry out certain tasks.”
“Kenzo is a quiet and thoughtful boy who clearly puts others before himself which was shown by the way he helped the other children in the garden and transformed the verge outside his school so that the community can benefit from the sight and smell of the plants.”
“A talented young gardener who can reel off the names of plants so naturally and easily. He is a rising star and will certainly go on to achieve great things.”
