About Dylan

Dylan has been a valuable member of the Gardening Club at his previous school since it started and helps in any way that he can. He is no fair weather gardener and his dedication has proved motivational to adults and children alike. In his free time Dylan is always gardening and since leaving his primary school he has continued his passion as the first pupil to start up a gardening club.

Judges' comments

“Dylan was one of the strongest young gardeners in this year’s competition. His knowledge is fantastic, the technical terminology just rolled off his tongue! I loved his lesson on how to make paper pots too. An absolute star.”

“Dylan is a confident young gardener and explained what he was doing exceptionally well. I really liked his attitude and maturity when speaking with his peers and working with members of the community. A very strong candidate.”

“A totally confident individual and a champion for school gardening. I love his response when people ask why he gardens – “Why don’t you?” A very worthy finalist.”
