About Kizzy

Kizzy is often found tidying the garden before school starts. She has an amazing understanding of why gardening is so important and in a town school with no fields or grass anywhere she encourages other students to create a happy, warm and bright place.

Judges' comments

"Nature-lover Kizzy has raised funds to transform her concreted school grounds into a wildlife-friendly oasis, using lots of containers and vertical planting to make the most of the small space.  She is very encouraging of the other girls, teaching them skills such as propagation."

"Kizzy is such a worthy finalist. Her determination to start a gardening club at school and the way she has encouraged others to join is admirable – and not an easy task. If only all schools had a Kizzy!"
