About St Benedicts Infant School
The team from St Benedict’s are an enthusiastic, determined, hardworking and comical bunch of small green fingered little helpers. They could never be called fair weather gardeners and always tackle the gardening tasks head on, come rain or shine! The team often suggest activities that they could do from what they have seen on TV or vegetables they have eaten at home.
Judges' comments
“Such a fun and happy group who clearly love every second of being in the garden. The pupils looked so excited to be working in the garden and even though they had such big tools for their tiny hands, they still got stuck in.”
“I loved the sense of wonder in the pupils at St Benedict’s, all crowding round to look at insects and pointing out the birds. They are such a fun and excitable bunch who get so much from being outside. Jodi is an inspiration too, the pupils obviously love working with her in the garden.”
“St Benedict’s are a wonderful example of a multicultural Britain working together. The children are a joy to watch, there is just so much buzz coming from them. You can see that they really do have big dreams and I look forward to seeing more from them in the future.”
