Hampton Court Scarecrows Results 2016

See the out-of-this-world scarecrows from RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016

Visitors to RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2016 were treated to an out-of-this-world display as 58 space-themed scarecrows invaded the show ground. 

The record number of entries took inspiration from the theme Rocket Science, in honour of our project with the UK Space Agency, and created a host of wonderful characters from Clangers, Minions and aliens, to replica models of David Bowie, Elton John and of course Tim Peake!

Visitors to the show (05-10 July) were invited to vote for their favourite scarecrow and we can now reveal the results!

In first place was Rosemead Preparatory School in London for their brilliant scarecrow 'Kevin on his rocket', second place was awarded to Hurst Park Primary School in Surrey for their 'Stormtrooper Sam Scarecrow' and third place went to Abbeys Primary School in Buckinghamshire for their 'Abbey's Astraw-naut'.
