About the training 

Roots to Wellbeing aims to help teachers in primary and secondary schools support children and young people’s wellbeing through growing and nature.

Developed in collaboration with Place2Be, the course explores the evidence-based links between plants, nature and wellbeing, and highlights opportunities to support children’s wellbeing in schools through this learning.

  • Explore definitions of wellbeing, framed around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and nature connectedness
  • Experience pupil-facing activities focused on growing purposefully to enhance children’s wellbeing
  • Work together on solution-focused approaches that will encourage growing and nature connectedness in schools to support wellbeing
  • Share best practice, discuss issues arising and network with fellow course participants
