We know that gardening and feeling connected to nature can change lives, and the Department of Education’s Curriculum and Assessment Review is a perfect opportunity to shape the curriculum, so every child and young person gains the benefits gardening brings.

Survey responses are invited from everyone with an interest in the curriculum and assessment in England including teachers, senior leaders, wider school staff, children and young people and parents and carers. (Easy read, British Sign Language and braille surveys are available.)

Make a difference today by asking for:

  • Plants, growing and gardening to be a statutory requirement for every year group
  • All children and young people to be taught about the links between plants, gardening, nature connectedness and wellbeing
  • All schools to have a strong curriculum focus on sustainability and the role of plants in improving our environment
  • A focus on green careers in all primary and secondary schools
