KS2/P3-6 Finalist

About Megan

Megan has a passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated attitude and approach to gardening. She has a rounded a deep understanding of gardening and leads the school Eco Committee to plan the growing season and prioritise which jobs should be done when. Megan recently visited a local nursery and garden centre and asked many great questions and then took the ideas back to school to share with the Eco Club. Megan inspires her peers to get involved in gardening and can be regularly found in the garden before school, during playtime and after school.

Megan works hard to take the gardening out into the local community; she recently wrote letters to local housing associations to ask whether the retirement home complex required any work doing and as a result, she and other member of the group planted up several areas of the garden for the elderly residents. Megan is passionate about including others and is a patient child who coaches younger children including one child with learning difficulties. Her dedication to gardening is unfailing and her passion is clear.
