School Gardens Competition

RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2022

Schools Allotment at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park

Schools and youth groups in the North are offered the chance to design and build an allotment plot at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park, which will take place between 20 - 24 July 2022. Together, all plots will create one large allotment that our visitors can walk through.

2022's theme is 'Garden of Resilience'. We encourage schools to interpret this whilst considering the Show's main themes of 'food' and 'trees'. You can be as creative as you like when designing your allotment. You may decided to include living walls using plants that are edible for both humans and birds, or explore fruiting trees and how planting these play a part in planet-friendly gardening...the possiblilites are endless!

Creating an allotment at the Show provides school pupils with the amazing opportunity to design, grow, build and showcase a garden at an RHS Show. By participating, children can gain invaluable hands on experience with plants and horticulture, while developing an understanding of different growing practices and environmentally-friendly gardening.

Please submit your application by Friday 4 March 2022.
