Photo of the month competition

Have your photo displayed on our home page and win a prize!

Every month we select a photo that has been sent to us to become our Photo of the Month which is then featured on our home page.

This month's winning photo comes from Chestnut Community Events a charity working with schools in Kendal in Lancashire to gain new skills through helping on community gardens. The group aims to build confidence in young people and raise their understanding of the world around them. This month over 250 children and 50 adults got involved with apple pressing, using fruit harvested from school gardens!

Why not incorporate apples into your lesson plans? Step back in time to the 19th century with our new resource, Be a Pomologist and use all your senses to describe the differences between apple varieties.
